Hosin Sul Seminars (Self Defence) with Master Rooney Posted 2/2/12
A list of regional Hosin Sul seminars with Master Rooney is shown below. These seminars are open to all students (minimum age 8 years old) who hold the rank of Yellow Tags (9th kup) up to Black Belt 6th Degree. The seminars will involve intensive practice of practical self defence against unprovoked attacks. Do not miss this opportunity - limited places available - reserve your place now. Master Classes (Patterns & Sparring) with Master Rooney Posted 2/2/12
A list of regional Master Classes with Master Rooney is shown below. These Master Classes are open to all students who hold the rank of Yellow Tags (9th kup) up to Black Tags (1st kup). The seminars will involve intensive practice of all the patterns from Chon-Ji up to Choong-Moo. The Seminars will also cover 3 Step Sparring, 2 Step Sparring and 1 Step Sparring. Students participating will be assessed during the seminar and advised regarding their readiness for future gradings. Enrollment forms are available from your club Instructor. Alternatively Students can register on the day prior to the classes

The UKTC are proud to present a 1 day training course with Senior Master Yeo Chin Huat from Sweden. Special Guest Instructor will be Senior Master Leslie Hutchison (Vice President, Scotland-ITF). The Course will involve Stretching, Kicking Drills, Sparring & Self Defence. The course is open to all ITF members. To reserve your place please phone 0131 445 1759. Congratulations to UKTC Instructor Mr Michael Wiseman - Caledonian Muay Thai Fighter of the Year - Posted 24/12/11
Master Rooney would like to congratulate his student, Mr Michael Wiseman, on being awarded the title of 'Fighter of the Year' by the Caledonian Muay Thai Organisation. Mr Wiseman was presented with a Bayonet Sword in recognition of his fighting achievements in 2011, including winning the WRSA -67kg Muay Thai British Title. Mr Wiseman is a 4th Degree International Instructor with the UKTC. He started his training with Master Rooney at the Alloa School of Taekwon-Do. He is now an Instructor at the Alloa Club as well as teaching classes in Airdrie, Baillieston, Cumbernauld, Dunfermline, Kinross and Tillicoultry.

2011 UK Taekwon-Do Championship - Posted 7/11/11
The 2011 UK Taekwon-Do Championship was held at Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh, on Sunday 6th November 2011.
Senior Master Harkess, Master Campbell, and Master Rooney would like to congratulate all the competitors who took part and would like to thank all the spectators for showing their support, as well as the Umpires for their assistance.

All UKTC members who wish to participate as a competitor or official in any local, national or international martial arts competitions run by other organisations must be given approval from the UKTC Executive Board.
